NCFE shortlisted for two sector awards

Educational charity NCFE has been shortlisted for two accolades in the upcoming FAB 2023 Awards.  

Recognising the contributions made by awarding organisations and their employees to education and skills in the UK over the past year, the awards acknowledge a world-class sector that issued more than 10 million certifications last year. 

NCFE, which is celebrating its 175th anniversary year in 2023, is again in the running for End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) of the Year after winning the title in 2022.  

Christopher Ademola has also been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year, after claiming the same accolade in NCFE’s own Aspiration Awards this past year.  

Commenting on the awards, John McNamara, Interim Chief Executive of the Federation of Awarding Bodies said: "We are thrilled to once again receive a remarkable number of high-quality nominations for the FAB 2023 Awards. 

“These awards continue to highlight and honour excellence in the awarding and assessment sector, while recognising the efforts of both individuals and teams in advancing qualifications, as well as fostering innovative and inclusive approaches.

Active IQ, which was acquired by NCFE less than a year ago, has also been shortlisted for two out of the 11 categories and are finalists in the Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year and Apprentice of the Year categories. 

Now in its 8th year, the FAB 2023 Awards dinner, sponsored by Advanced Secure Technologies, is being held at the end of the first day of the FAB Conference, on 30th November, at the Marriott Hotel, in Leicester.
