What can we help you find?

Active IQ

In November 2022, we were delighted to acquire Active IQ – an awarding organisation and apprenticeship end-point assessment organisation (EPAO) focused on qualifications and career pathways in the physical activity and wellness sector.

In an agreement designed to combine the strengths of both organisations and offer a broader portfolio of qualifications for the benefit of all customers and learners, Active IQ will continue to operate independently to maximise their specialist expertise and customer relationships.

We’re incredibly excited about the opportunities that this union will provide. Our priority is to secure the future of the highly respected Active IQ brand, growing the influence of the organisation as it approaches its 20th year of operation and ensuring its continued success so that they can positively impact the lives of more learners through education.

Why did we acquire Active IQ?

Between NCFE and Active IQ, there is a real, deep-rooted alignment in our vision and purpose:

Vision

Both organisations share a mission and core purpose to change lives through education, making a difference for those who mater most – our beneficiaries. Active IQ, like NCFE, also prides itself on exceptional customer service and high-quality, transformational learning experiences that lead to real career outcomes.

Expertise

We have almost 200 years’ experience of operating within the education sector between our two organisations. NCFE was born in 1848 from the belief that no learner should be left behind and we’ve remained true to this core purpose of promoting and advancing learning for 170+ years. Active IQ is approaching its 20th year of operation and has grown significantly since they were established in 2003.

Collaboration

Movements need collaborators. The inclusion of Active IQ in the next phase of our evolution will ensure we’re able to better service a broader range of learners through our offering, helping them to fulfil current and future skills needs.

Social purpose

We both work to positively influence the wellbeing of individuals and build a fairer society. Promoting and advancing learning will help us to achieve this.
