Submit approval for additional T Levels
Approval window opens soon!
From 26 February, you’ll be able to request approval to deliver additional T Levels from September 2024. This applies to the following T Level Technical Qualifications:
- 603/5829/4 T Level Technical Qualification in Education and Early Years (Level 3) (delivered by NCFE)
- 603/6902/4 T Level Technical Qualification in Digital Business Services (Level 3) (delivered by NCFE)
- 603/6901/2 T Level Technical Qualification in Digital Support Services (Level 3) (delivered by NCFE)
- 603/7066/X T Level Technical Qualification in Health (Level 3) (delivered by NCFE)
- 603/7083/X T Level Technical Qualification in Healthcare Science (Level 3) (delivered by NCFE)
- 603/6989/9 T Level Technical Qualification in Science (Level 3) (delivered by NCFE)
Once the approval window opens, you must complete the approval process to deliver the technical qualifications as soon as possible. This will help us to ensure that you have the right level of resources, staffing and support in place to successfully deliver the qualifications from September 2024.
Please note that if you’re already approved to deliver other NCFE qualifications, you must still gain additional approval to deliver T Levels. This process only applies if you’d like to deliver T Levels that you’re not currently delivering.
How to gain approval
From 26 February, you can request approval by following the steps below:
1. Visit the individual qualification page on our website.
2. Click to shortlist the qualification(s) to request approval.
3. Follow the online instructions to fill out the request form. You’ll be allocated an External Quality Assurer to carry out an approval review and this must take place within 20 working days of submitting the form. You must ensure you’re able to support a visit within the next 20 working days before you submit your application as we are not able to put your application on hold once submitted. The review will last between a half day to a full day and will generally be completed remotely unless there is a reason we need to visit your centre. If you’re unable to accommodate a review within this timescale, we recommend you apply for approval when you’re in a position to meet this deadline.
4. When completing the form please have details of key staff, your national centre number (NCN) and UKPRN to hand.
You should also be aware that if your college has multiple campuses, you’ll need to apply for approval for each campus to deliver these qualifications. Similarly, if your academy is part of a Multi Academy Trust, each academy will require separate approval.
