New Early Years Educator (EYE) criteria and the impact on T Level content
We wanted to remind you that the new EYE criteria has been published and the new standards came into effect on 1 September 2024.

Which students should follow the new criteria?
- First year students (starting in September 2024): should follow the new Competence Criteria for Assignment 2 published in April 2024.
- Second year students (started in September 2023): should continue to use the criteria they used last year and follow the Competence Criteria for Assignment 2 published in June 2023.
Which Assignment 2 Tutor Guide should providers use?
- First year students (starting in September 2024): providers should use the ‘Early Years Educator assignment 2 tutor guide – teaching from 01 September 2024’ located in the qualification page on our website under ‘Support Materials’.
- Second year students (started in September 2023): providers should use the ‘Early Years Educator assignment 2 tutor guide – teaching up until September 2024’ located in the qualification page on our website under ‘Support Materials’.
