Assessment audit report timescales

As you’ll be aware, in accordance with NCFE’s Regulations for the Conduct of External Assessments, unannounced assessment audit visits can and do regularly take place. After this a report on the outcome of the visit is made available to heads of centre within a specified timeframe.

Previously, this timeframe was within five working days of the visit taking place. However, to accommodate an increase in the number of required visits owing to the addition of various qualifications to our portfolio, and for us to confirm the validity of any findings, as of 1 July 2023, these timeframes will be extended to a maximum of 10 working days following the visit.

Please note, however, that we’d expect that most reports will continue to be made available in advance of these revised timeframes. If we need to extend these timeframes, we’ll let you know in advance of the 10-working day deadline.
