Study programmes (16-19)

16 19 Learners 06

Strengthen your post-16 curriculum with clear, supported pathways for learners

The Department for Education (DfE) requires learners funded through the 16 to 19 funding methodology to be enrolled on a study programme with a minimum of 580 planned learning hours (PLH). This applies whether they move into further study or begin a career.

NCFE study programmes give you the flexibility to design a bespoke programme that supports learner needs and career ambitions. By adding work experience, learners gain the skills and confidence to progress into employment, further study or higher education.

We’ll work with you to build a programme that supports every learner.

Additionality programmes

From induction through to higher education progression, our short Level 1, 2, and 3 qualifications are designed to enhance study programmes.

They enrich the learner experience by maximising teaching time and helping students prepare effectively for their future. Easy to deliver, these qualifications can be adapted to meet different learner needs.
