Specsavers lead the way with T Levels in the optics industry
Multinational optical retail chain Specsavers have announced they’ll be leading the way for T Levels within the optics industry. Working in partnership with us, they’ve committed to offer 100 industry placements for Healthcare Science T Level students.
Our T Level qualifications are designed in collaboration with employers to reflect the needs of the sectors and occupations they're designed to serve. All students benefit from a minimum of 45 days of industry placement alongside their classroom-based technical learning, providing invaluable practical experience as well as the theory.
Within the Healthcare Science T Level, there is an optical care services specialism, which is where Specsavers come in – offering industry placements to ensure these students gain valuable experience.
The company is also hoping that its offer will encourage further education providers to offer the optical care services specialism as part of the T Level, with any additional placements then running from 2024.
