An overview of my cohorts’ results

Within the results screen on the NCFE Portal you can access a confirmation report which contains results for all students in a single table.

The overall T Level outcome for my students

For students who have met all the required elements for their T Level, overall T Level grades are issued by the DfE through the Manage T Level Results Service.

The final moderation report

Via the NCFE Portal. It will include feedback from the Moderator on areas where your students performed well and areas for development.

This will be available the same day results are released to centres. You can find these in the NCFE Portal, in the same place you’ll find results slips.

These will be available the same day results are released to students. This can be found on the qualification page on the NCFE website, under the assessment materials tab. This report is generic across the entire series cohort and gives an overview of performance and points to note across all learners this summer.

For students completing their T Level studies this year, well submit results to the Department for Education (DfE) via the Manage T Level Results Service. The DfE calculates an overall grade for students who have met all the required elements for their T Level. NCFE doesn’t issue overall T Level grades, nor do we print and dispatch T Level certificates. The DfE will share results with UCAS. Full details relating to T Level grades can be found on the Gov.uk website.

A statement of achievement is issued to students who do not pass all elements of their T Level and have therefore not passed their T Level overall.

If students leave their course early, providers must inform the relevant awarding organisation of the student withdrawal, and then request a statement of achievement through the DfE Manage T Level Results service. T Level certificates and statements of achievement (including details on English and maths achievements) are printed and sent to providers for issuing to students.

To receive a core component grade, a student must have attempted and received an outcome for each sub-component.

Students who have only attempted the ESP or the core exams will not yet be eligible for a core component grade.

No, the correct core component grade will be calculated by the NCFE Portal – there is no need for you to manually calculate any overall core component grade.

Details can be found on a student’s result slip, using UMS calculations available within the relevant T Level qualification specification.

No – students will retain their highest outcome from all attempts.

No, the core exam sub-component consists of both exams which must be completed as a pair in the same series. Students cannot combine individual paper results across a series within the core exam sub-component.

Yes. On the Portal there is the option for Item Level Data (ILD) report, a report which will show a task by task mark each student received. It doesn’t replace access to scripts, this is still available, however you should be aware that accessing scripts carries a charge, whereas the ILD report is free.

This data will help you to understand your students’ results better, allowing you to see which tasks students have performed well in, and where they’ve not scored as highly. This may help inform a decision to submit a review of marking or it can be used for revision/future assessment preparation. It provides you with data to give you a better insight into student results, and more ownership over your students’ results.

If you have queries about student results, please view our post-results services webpage for information on reviews of marking or moderation, clerical checks, or access to student evidence.
