Our FREE resources offer
Internal Assessment Tasks document (to cover all knowledge-based assessment criteria for all 15 units): using these tasks will support evidence generated against all knowledge-based assessment criteria to support learners in achieving the qualification. Completion of the internal assessment tasks is not a mandatory requirement, and Centres can devise their own tasks.
Skills based outcomes/assessment criteria observation tracker document: this document has been produced to support assessors in identifying all the skills (‘Be able to’) assessment criteria the learner must achieve within the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate. The document allows for individual learner progress to be tracked and there are also suggested assessment methods which can be applied to each assessment criteria.
Activity book
The activity book is designed to help with the delivery of Adult Social Care qualification. It has a range of activities that can be completed at home or used as complimentary teaching materials.
The activities cover all learning outcomes (LOs) for this qualification but do not cover all assessment criteria (ACs), therefore should be used as an additional resource to centre prepared delivery, to ensure all ACs are covered appropriately. These activities are all optional and to be used at the discretion of the delivery staff and centre.
Scenario Resource Pack
This resource represents a range of real-world scenarios matched to each unit of the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate (with the exception of CC2 Personal development in adult social care settings). These scenarios and accompanying tasks offer additional learning support, providing opportunity to apply knowledge and skills to real-world situations outside of the workplace.
Each unit has its own scenario with a selection of optional activities:
- scenario reflection task (discussion/thinking/writing with key prompts)
- scenario response questions (discussion/thinking/writing with guided questions)
- role play task (an opportunity to demonstrate interaction between the adult care worker and care user/relevant individual)
Providers are invited to utilise any of these task types, according to learning context, needs of the learners and learner job roles. The document is fully editable, and providers can choose to adapt and shape the resource as required.
Flashcards
The flashcards are designed as a tool for learners to recall useful information or ideas relating to each unit of the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification. Each set provides learners with an opportunity to test their knowledge and understanding of key elements of the assessment criteria (AC).
Learners or providers are encouraged to utilise these flashcards in a way that will best suit learning and development needs. For example, they may be useful as a starting point or memory aid for assessment completion. Each set is available as a print or digital option. The digital option takes the form of a PowerPoint with animation instructions to randomise the flashcards.
Personal and Professional Development Workbook
This workbook has been developed to support learners with their personal and professional development. It introduces learners to a number of tools to help with self-evaluation, reflection, and goal setting. The PDP workbook provides an excellent base for learners starting to think about how they wish to develop in their careers and helps them better understand how to identify opportunities and training needs. This workbook can be used as a stand-alone resource or in conjunction with the Activity workbook.
Mind Map Workbook
The mind map pack is designed as a space for learners to note useful information or ideas relating to each unit of the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification. Each unit is split by learning outcome (LO), with further reference to assessment criteria (AC). Learners are encouraged to utilise these pages in a way that will best suit their learning and development needs. For example, they may be useful as a starting point or memory aid for assessment preparation.
