Statement regarding the T Levels for Health, Healthcare Science & Science
Outcomes for the first year of the Level 3 T Levels for Health, Healthcare Science and Science in summer 2022 saw mixed performance. While some students achieved the grades they expected, many others did not, and we recognise and are deeply sorry for the impact of this.
Following the release of these interim results last August, we worked intensively with providers, Ofqual, the DfE, IfATE and the AoC to rapidly find solutions to address concerns and ensure all students receive the grade they deserve by summer 2023.
For those students who sat core examinations in summer 2022, the core grades taken forward into the T Level certificate can be the higher of the Employer Set Project grade or the overall core grade already received. Students also had the opportunity to re-sit both or either the ESP and core assessments in the autumn 2022 window to improve their grades – key dates available here. No student will be disadvantaged by this, and the highest core component grade will stand.
