Updates to our Regulations for the Conduct of Assessment
We’ve updated our Regulations for the Conduct of Assessment, and an overview of the other key changes is as follows:
- Secure room access has been extended from 2-4 to 2-6 keyholders
- Revised and updated section has been added on handling secure electronic materials
- Actions given on identification of an issue when opening question packets
- Additional guidance available on question paper transportation
- Clarity provided on the scope of invigilation training requirements
- Guidance on retention of electronic copies of learner work produced on-screen
- Confirmation of a complete watch ban during external assessments
- Additional section added on releasing papers to centre staff and dealing with unused scripts
- Appendix on storage, access, and distribution of assessment materials, including pre-release.
These regulations must be used for all external assessments set and marked by NCFE and supersede all previous versions with immediate effect.
