International learners – let us know where your learners live
To support our external quality assurance process and provide better visibility of international learners and their country of origin at the time of delivery, we’ve added a new field to the Portal to allow you to specify this at the point of registration. It’s important that this information is provided accurately as this will support our External Quality Assurers (EQAs) to understand the location of learners at the time of delivery. If their country isn’t listed, you must contact our International team at [email protected] to discuss this before registering.
This new requirement applies to all UK based centres offering qualifications internationally via distance learning and to centres based overseas.
UK-based centres wishing to offer qualifications which are knowledge only and have no external assessment (distance learning) can deliver qualifications across the world as long as there’s no in-country teaching and learning.
UK-based centres wishing to offer qualifications which are knowledge only and have no external assessment, but will have in-country teaching and learning, must apply for approval via our International team and a business case and international centre application will need to be submitted.
UK-based centres wishing to offer qualifications which have a competency element, must apply for approval via our International team and they’ll need a physical centre to be established in their country of delivery.
In all the above situations, we do need to fully understand your delivery model, and this will be discussed with you prior to and during your EQA review.
For further information on any of the above please contact our International team at [email protected].
