Important changes to how you access and submit digital assessment materials for V Certs and CACHE assessments
Following your feedback and in line with other improvements we're making to our external assessments, we want to let you know that we’re introducing an electronic download and submission process for some NCFE assessments.
We are also streamlining the way you access and return assessment materials for some assessments which previously used a combination of digital files and printed external assessment papers. From now on, all assessment materials for these assessments will be accessed and returned via the NCFE Portal. External assessment papers will no longer be printed for these assessments.
What is the benefit of this?
This means that you’ll be able to access the digital files for use with your assessments from the NCFE Portal and you’ll no longer have to submit electronic evidence as well as returning a hard copy completed external assessment paper. You’ll be able to submit all evidence digitally for the same assessments through the NCFE Portal.
What action do you need to take?
This new download and submission functionality is now available, so you’ll need to access and return digital files and assessment materials via the NCFE Portal. You’ll no longer be able to access materials via a SharePoint or uServe link.
You’ll also need to ensure that all relevant users who need access to these materials have a Portal log-in. If you need to create an additional Portal log-in, you can do this using the Portal User Guide.
External assessment materials will be available to download no more than 3 working days before the external assessment is due to start.
Completed assessment materials must be uploaded to the NCFE Portal within 48 hours of the submission date.
External assessment dates can be viewed in our external assessment timetable, timescales relating to accessing and uploading assessment materials are available within Regulations for Conduct of External Assessment on our website.
