Changes to how to access our past papers, mark schemes and chief examiner reports | NCFE

What can we help you find?

Changes to how to access our past papers, mark schemes and chief examiner reports

We’re keen to ensure that our past assessment material is of the most possible use to you and your students across all our qualification suites. Some providers have said that as students are able to access past papers on our website, this can cause issues when the assessments are used within teaching and learning. After reviewing the feedback, we’ve decided to password-protect the most recent past paper, mark scheme and chief examiner report for all our qualifications with an external assessment. The additional protection to these documents enables you to use these as valid mock assessments.

We don’t want to discourage students from accessing our resources to further their learning and development, which is why we won’t password-protect all the available past papers, mark schemes and chief examiner reports. To access the most recent past paper, mark scheme and chief examiner report, you will need to ensure staff members have access to a Portal login. If you need a login, please contact your Portal administrator, as they’ll have the permission to add new Portal users.

All of the password-protected documents will be housed on the qualification pages under additional materials on our website and the unprotected question papers, mark schemes and chief examiner reports will be accessed through the assessment materials tab.

We’ll be introducing these changes in early March. If you have further queries, please contact our Assessment Delivery team on [email protected]
