Reduction of SLA durations

We’re reducing SLA durations – effective immediately! 

We’re excited to announce that we’ve shortened the duration of several of our EPA service-level agreements (SLAs) to better support you and your apprentices – starting today! 

Over the past six months, we’ve worked diligently to streamline our processes and align SLA timelines. Now, we’re pleased to introduce revised SLAs aimed at helping apprentices complete their EPA as quickly as possible. 

These new SLAs have been tailored to fit the end-of-year schedule, ensuring you have the tools and time needed to prepare for key deadlines. To simplify your planning, we’ve created a timeline and tips document that covers everything you need to know to ensure your apprentices complete their end-point assessment (EPA) by 31 July 2025. 

What’s inside the document? 

• a full breakdown of all the revised SLAs, including essential details for planning ahead. 
• clear guidance on SLAs that remain in place (e.g. 8-week, 12-week, 16-week, and 26-week) for specific assessment plan requirements, such as projects and case studies. 
• special guidance for the Teaching Assistant v1.0 and v1.1 and Learning and Skills Teacher standards, with tips for navigating school closures and ensuring timely registration and EPA requests. 

We’re excited for the improvements these changes will bring and look forward to supporting you and your apprentices even more effectively.
