After the success of our education and childcare student conferences last year, we’re excited to announce a new schedule of events for 2022-23. We’re inviting your learners to join us virtually and explore a range of topics within the sector to gain an insight into the varied career pathways available to them.
Careers in education and childcare
15 September 2022, 10am–12pm
Working in the education and childcare sector is much more than a job – it’s a career offering lots of rewarding and diverse opportunities.
This virtual event will support your students on their learning journey, covering key information about careers in education and childcare, including early years and working with children and young people.
Subject specialists from NCFE will be joined by professionals from across the sector to explore the career pathways your learners could take, sharing insight from their own experiences and occupational roles.
What your learners will gain from the event:
- An introduction to careers in education and childcare
- The opportunity to hear from professionals about their careers within the sector and the varied roles that are available
- Insight into opportunities in higher education
- Information on our careers toolkit, including how it can be used for continued professional development
- Hear from a student about their experience of being a male working in childcare
- Ask questions to our panel of experts and professionals.

Seeing the world through a child’s eyes
8 February 2023, 2–4pm
Join us to explore the importance of positive relationships in a child’s life for holistic, healthy, enabling opportunities that lay the foundation for future outcomes. We’ll consider the impact of the physical and relational environment against a pedagogical and theoretical framework.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions to our panel of speakers and experts about their experiences and thoughts on this topic.
