The learner experience
“After a sudden change in career choice, I decided to do my CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education at Truro College, with the aim of becoming a teaching assistant. I enjoyed every minute of this qualification due to the supportive staff, the resources given to us, and the friends I made along the way. I gained so much knowledge, learning about various topics including theorists in childhood education, safeguarding and implementing it in the workplace, and the importance of play within children’s learning.
My work placement as part of the qualification allowed me to implement the skills I developed in the classroom, and this enabled me to secure a job as a teaching assistant at the school. Due to the great experiences I had with this qualification and the confidence I gained, I decided to continue with my childcare studies. I would highly recommend this course to those who want to start their careers in childhood education.”
