New Level 2 Adult Care Certificate | NCFE

What can we help you find?

Update on funding for the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate

We wanted to let you know that we received an update from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) on 29 May 2024 confirming that the £53.91 million funding for the new Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate has unfortunately been paused during the General Election period.

While we’re disappointed that the funding won’t be available as planned on Monday 3 June, we're still planning to launch our qualification on this date as we firmly believe that the Adult Care Certificate will be a valuable tool in helping to raise standards and professional outcomes within the care workforce.

As the leading provider of care qualifications, we will remain in contact with the DHSC and expect to know more after 11 July. We hope that the next Government will recognise the importance of this initiative and re-open the funding as soon as possible.

We appreciate this is disappointing for our customers, and we’ll work with you to discuss the next steps and support you with any queries.
