Each of our products are designed to fit in with your apprenticeship delivery, from mandatory and supporting qualifications to Functional Skills qualifications and skills assessment tools. We offer everything you need to ensure that during this all-important learning phase of the programme, your apprentices develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to reach Gateway and excel at their end-point assessment (EPA). 

Functional Skills  

All apprentices require the achievement of English and maths qualifications as part of their programme before they reach Gateway. NCFE’s Functional Skills qualifications provide learners with the essential English and maths skills required for a successful apprenticeship. These are supported by fantastic teaching and learning resources, subject specialist support, a wide range of sample assessments and sector-leading service times. 

We offer paper, online and remote invigilated assessments that are all fully on-demand allowing your learners to sit assessments when they are ready. Each assessment will deliver the learner's results from 6 working days and, should the result not be the desired one, we allow one free re-sit per assessment.

Skills assessment tools to complement delivery 

Our skills assessment products can also help you supercharge your apprenticeship delivery. 

Skills Review is a self-assessment skills gap analysis tool that helps the apprentice, employer and provider to review knowledge, skills and competence in line with the apprenticeship standard. This allows you to measure progress throughout the apprenticeship.  

Skills Portfolio is a bespoke e-portfolio that you can build around your learners’ specific apprenticeships. It’s compliant with Ofsted and Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) requirements and tracks learners’ 20% off-the-job training. It also integrates with management information systems (MIS), produces bespoke reports and can be personalised with your own resources. 

Skills assessment
