NCFE’s Endorsed Programme allowed them to have a professional structure, which suited the needs of the educators engaged with their programme.

When working in partnership with NCFE to launch the revolutionary Centre of Excellence, WorldSkills UK knew that they wanted to ensure that the CPD programmes they designed and delivered for the Centre were endorsed by a recognised brand with value.

NCFE’s Endorsed Programme allowed them to have a professional structure, which suited the needs of the educators engaged with their programme. The focus was then on CPD itself - giving educators an aspect of flexibility to their work and the ideas that they produced.

It also allowed the discussions and collaboration between educators to flow and become the most beneficial part of their learning journey.

Jenna Wrathall MBE, High Performance Skills Coach at WorldSkills UK, explained further the benefits for tutors studying in their endorsed provision: “It has allowed educators to form relationships with educators from different campuses and skill areas which has led to collaboration on aspects of their curriculum.

“Their passion for their skills has, in some cases, been reignited as we look at why they took the pathway they chose. They have formed a team and have been open and honest with each other, which is why the design of an Endorsed Programme was the most suitable for this type of CPD.”
