Skills Forward working in collaboration with GCSEPod

Skills Forward is pleased to be working with GCSEPod to give learners a fantastic and inclusive learning experience.

Skills Forward is one of the UK’s leading eLearning assessment solutions for Functional Skills and GCSE and are part of the NCFE Group. We believe that everyone should have access to learning and the opportunity to develop new skills to progress into employment or further education. Our unique assessments and resources can transform how organisations approach Functional Skills, GCSEs and employability skills. Our digital learning and development platform software is used by colleges, training providers and employers who want accurate visibility of learner progress across a variety of work-based learning programmes and to digitally capture evidence of a learner’s skills, knowledge and occupational competency.

By working with GCSEPod, who specialise in engaging 3-5 minute learning videos, we’re offering a chance for learners to benefit from our shared expertise, wealth of knowledge and complementary services. Videos from GCSEPod are written by expert teachers and every Pod is mapped to GCSE and IGCSE exam boards and they’re fully committed to making sure that their content is up to date with the latest curriculum and technology changes.

Our collaboration also provides Skills Forward customers discounted access to the online platform, which is an ideal solution for learners to use during and outside of the usual study times. Available anytime, on any device, it enables learners to learn on the move and engage with subjects at their own pace. In addition to the full English and Maths GCSE specification, the recently launched PASS4English and PASS4Maths, created by specialists, targets the key areas to help secure a Grade 4.

We’re proud to work with GCSEPod as they share our values, and the values of NCFE, in that the learner is at the heart of everything they do. By working together for the good of the learner, we’re able to offer a high quality suite of products to give them the very best chance of success.

COVID-19 has had a substantial impact on education in recent months. While we may not understand the true extent of these changes on the future of the sector, it’s critical we start forward planning, so you and your colleagues feel prepared and supported for what’s to come.

Ensuring young people leave their formal education ready for the workplace is a difficult task but one which providers have been challenged to deliver on as part of their careers education and commitment to employability skills.

This pride season, we wanted to highlight the work of fellow charities who are doing amazing things in the sector to make education inclusive for students, teachers, tutors, parents and carers. We believe that education is for everyone and the more diverse we can make this space, the more we can learn and the richer our experiences will be for it.
