Accreditation Services Case Study - Bullying Intervention Ltd

Bullying Intervention Ltd is using NCFE’s Accreditation Services to gain recognition and endorsement for their in-house training.

After studying with NCFE, the organisation became aware of NCFE’s Accreditation Services and decided to make their courses ‘official’. Using their knowledge and experience as anti-bullying consultants they worked in conjunction with NCFE to develop their very own training provision, focussing on the topic of bullying.

Bullying Intervention Ltd has created provision for both professionals and young people, focussing on topics such as mentoring children and young people who are being bullied as well as peer mentoring.

The organisation has found that many schools have benefitted from their courses, using them to upskill staff in the subject area as well as delivering them straight to learners. The courses are available online which they’ve found really benefits their customers.

Val McFarlane, Director of Bullying Intervention Ltd commented, “Having NCFE accreditation gives our qualifications the formal recognition that our students require to have their qualification formally acknowledged in the employment field.”

“The courses we provide help people become more confident in dealing with these difficult issues. Feedback on the courses has been extremely positive, with learners finding the content both interesting and informative.”

“We have found NCFE to be brilliant to work with.  The staff are so friendly and professional and the customer care and support we receive is second to none.  We feel that NCFE genuinely cares about the work we do and the staff want us to help schools to support children who are bullied, and obviously prevent bullying in the longer term.”

“I would definitely recommend NCFE’s Accreditation Services to other organisations. Our experience has been totally positive in every way.”

When it comes to self-care, research and data implies the most important element is sleep. If we are to be productive in whatever our life demands and be able to face the challenges we are confronted with, then sleep is the cornerstone of being able to do this and stay well.

There are a whole host of reasons why you might encounter challenging students, and often, the reasons behind their behaviour aren’t entirely clear. Even when you can identify a cause, that on the surface appears to be more obvious, such as recent bereavement, displacement or physical illness, it doesn’t necessarily make challenging behaviour easier to tackle.

Following nested suite programmes, like those from NCFE, can help with success, retention and achievement data by supporting learners at risk with appropriate drop off points in the year, and providing progression options for those who are excelling.
